Development Prospects Of Agricultural Economic Activity Under Digital Transformation

This scientific article, prepared as part of a dissertation study, is devoted to the analysis of the digitaltransformation of economic activity in agriculture. The research is based on the review of scientific works, statistical data,regulatory legal frameworks, and the results of the author’s survey conducted among peasant (farm) households andrural individual entrepreneurs. Particular attention is paid to the systematization of factors that determine the specificsof launching the digital transformation process in agriculture, including information provision, infrastructural aspects, thelevel of digital maturity of producers, and the development of the industry’s innovation system. The analysis of modernstudies shows that the use of IT solutions in the production process has significant advantages compared to traditionalfarming: it increases labor productivity, reduces production costs, and enhances competitiveness. However, insufficientexpertise in IT applications, limited financial opportunities, and lack of qualified personnel remain the main obstacles todigital development in agriculture. The article also reveals the dependence of the speed of introducing IT solutions onproduction volumes and highlights the link between digitalization and the effective development of agribusiness.
