Abstract

The transition to a green economy is a fundamental shift toward sustainable development, balancing economicgrowth with environmental protection. This paper explores the historical evolution of the green economy worldwide,its current trends, and its implementation in Uzbekistan and the broader Central Asian region. It examines key policyframeworks, investments, and challenges in transitioning to a green economy. The study concludes with recommendationsfor strengthening Uzbekistan’s green economy
