Abstract

The analysis focuses on the evolution of international financial institutions from the Bretton Woods systemto regional development banks and post-2008 G20 reforms. Their roles in ensuring global financial stability, promotinginvestment, and managing crises are highlighted. Institutional changes—including governance restructuring, quotarealignment, and enhanced oversight mechanisms—are examined alongside common criticisms related to representationand policy influence. The continuing transformation of these institutions underscores the need for adaptive financialgovernance in a shifting global economy.
