The role of tourism industry in the country’s economy

Abstract

As a worldwide export category, tourism ranks third after chemicals and fuels and ahead of automotive productsand food. In many developing countries, tourism is the top export category. This article highlights the role of tourism andits economic impact in the world economy. And also the main characteristics of tourism as an economic activity will bepresented in detail. In addition this article will include some negative effects of tourism to the economy. Relatively, it willoffer some practical solutions to improve the sustainable tourism to get more profit. And also this article will pay attentionto specific part of the world where the proportion of tourism is enough big in their GDP rate.
