Abstract

This study examined the level of teachers’ awareness of artificial intelligence (AI), their perceived usefulness of AI, and their readiness to integrate AI among basic education teachers. Using a quantitative research design, the study assessed teachers’ awareness in terms of general AI concepts, applications in education, and ethical and safety considerations; perceived usefulness in teaching practices, learner engagement, and assessment; and teachers’ readiness to integrate in terms of technical skills, pedagogical competence, and institutional support. Findings revealed that teachers demonstrated a very high level of awareness (3.72–3.74), perceived usefulness (3.68–3.73), and readiness to integrate AI (3.66–3.72). Correlation analysis indicated significant positive relationships among the variables, while regression analysis showed that perceived usefulness significantly predicts teachers’ readiness to integrate AI (β=.846, p
