Abstract

This study examines how entrepreneurial education, training, and personality traits influence entrepreneurial intention among university students in Pakistan. We surveyed 163 students from different academic disciplines hailing from multiple universities. Results show a positive relationship between education and training programs on the entrepreneurial intention of students. More importantly, it is found that the relationship between education and training with entrepreneurial intention is partially mediated by personality traits, which means that education and training can influence entrepreneurial intentions by promoting the core personality traits related to entrepreneurship. This research highlights the need to integrate entrepreneurship education into university curricula in Pakistan. Therefore, if we promote entrepreneurship culture and encourage suitable personality traits, then universities can enable their learners to engage in entrepreneurial activities. In addition, the researchers demonstrate the mediating impact of personality on entrepreneurship and provide useful suggestions for creating programs for training entrepreneurs and developing educational curricula.
