Abstract

The main purpose of the paper is to transforming the commensurate time-delay systems (TDSs) with multi-inputs to fully actuated systems via differential flatness. The flat output of commensurate TDSs with multi-inputs can be constructed explicitly on the basis of the solution to the Bezout identity. By taking the flat output of TDSs as the generalised state, the commensurate TDSs with multi-inputs can be equivalently transformed into a higher-order fully actuated systems (HOFAS). Then the finite spectrum assignment (FSA) problem of the commensurate TDSs with multi-inputs can be addressed immediately by the utilisation of the HOFAS approach. A numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the results presented in this paper.
