Abstract

Addressing the management of pre-positioning relief supplies, this paper proposes an innovative joint government-enterprise model that integrates shared inventory with additional enterprise production capacity reserves. The study analyzes scenarios with and without blockchain technology to identify optimal conditions for pre-positioning shared supplies and production reserves. The results indicate that, in most cases, an increase in the optimal inventory quantity corresponds to a decrease in the enterprise’s production capacity reserve. In high-disaster-probability scenarios, enterprises maintain smaller production capacity reserves. Regardless of whether blockchain technology is utilised, under certain conditions, increases in supply and cost parameters can enhance enterprise profits. Supply-specific and cost parameters play a crucial role in influencing decision-making. Furthermore, this paper evaluates the conditional benefits of blockchain technology, which demonstrates contrasting effects on optimal reserve quantities and production capacity reserves in numerical analysis. This research advances shared inventory models by emphasizing production capacity reserves and exploring the application of blockchain technology in this critical domain.
