Abstract

A new Wilkinson power divider (WPD) is designed using a modified resonator replaced as conventional transmission lines. The proposed power divider (PD) has a simple structure that improves its performance by eliminating unwanted harmonics, reducing the size, and increasing the Fractional Bandwidth (FBW) and stopband at 1 GHZ operating frequency. The achieved structure eliminates the 3rd to 10th harmonics with attenuation levels of better than 28 dB and the second harmonic with an acceptable attenuation level. The design procedure also offers an occupied area reduction of 80% compared to the conventional WPD. Based on the measured frequency responses, the fractional bandwidth is 52.6% at 1 GHz, the return loss is near 31 dB and the isolation is higher than 32 dB.
