Abstract

This paper presents the design and fabrication details of a switched wave oscillator (SWO) which can be used to generate High Power Electromagnetic (HPEM) signals having a moderate bandwidth at an operating frequency of 680 MHz for mesoband applications. SWO has been designed using coaxial as well as an alternate type of transmission line. Numerical analysis of both the models is presented. A suitable antenna has been designed, fabricated, and integrated with the SWO. Finally, the overall performance of the system has been presented to validate its suitability as HPEM generator for Intentional Electromagnetic Interference applications.
