Optimising load control of multi-type air conditioning in demand-side management

Abstract

With the continuous expansion of renewable energy capacity and the increasing demand for thermostatically controlled loads in China, new challenges have arisen for maintaining power supply stability. This paper establishes a control model for the aggregation of different types of air conditioning loads. To improve unsatisfactory demand response outcomes, a novel incentive mechanism based on tracking the target load curve is proposed. Additionally, a cost model for air conditioning load aggregators and the regional grid operator, along with an implementation scheme for trading mechanisms, is also developed. Case simulations validate the effectiveness and rationality of the proposed incentive mechanism.
