New development: E-governance, public policies, and sustainability

Abstract

This study provides new evidence that digital governance is a powerful tool for reducing sustainability uncertainty. It is particularly relevant for senior policy-makers, public administrators, digital government units, and environmental regulators in G7 economies. The findings indicate that investing in e-government systems and data-driven public administration will improve transparency and policy credibility, thereby increasing confidence among investors and other stakeholders involved in green and low-carbon initiatives. For practitioners, the results highlight how digital tools support green investment decisions and accelerate progress toward the low-carbon transition and SDGs 13 and 16.
