The effect of the information disclosure quality on enterprise cooperation: evidence from Chinese manufacturing-listed companies

Abstract

Few scholars have studied the relationship between information disclosure quality and supply chain security. Using a sample of Chinese manufacturing-listed companies from 2015 to 2019, we apply the Logit model to investigate the impact of information disclosure quality on enterprise cooperation. Our results show that companies with high disclosure quality maintain more persistent cooperation. Furthermore, changes in information disclosure quality have an asymmetric effect on enterprise cooperation. A decrease in disclosure quality deteriorates cooperation, while an increase has no significant impact on cooperation.
