Die Auswirkungen der Spekulation mit Nahrungsmitteln und Rohstoffen

Author

Abstract

This paper examines the effects of food and commodity speculation on the basis of the current state of research. Countless econometric studies have yet to either conclusively confirm or deny the influence of speculation on prices. However, the influence of futures prices on the spot market prices can be derived if the excess demand in the futures market is high and persists for an extended period of time. Regulation is therefore required. Copyright ZBW and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2015
