Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Makroökonomische Dialog der EU besteht nunmehr seit zwanzig Jahren. Verlief im ersten Jahrzehnt seines Bestehens die gesamtwirtschaftliche Entwicklung über den gesamten Euroraum gesehen durchaus befriedigend, so zeigten die zwischenzeitlich aufgelaufenen massiven gesamtwirtschaftlichen Divergenzen zwischen den Mitgliedstaaten und die dadurch verursachte Krise, dass es einer vertieften Institutionalisierung der makroökonomischen Koordinierung bedarf. Sie muss insbesondere einer stärkeren Abstimmung zwischen Euroraum und Mitgliedstaaten Rechnung tragen. Hierzu wird die Einrichtung eines Makroökonomischen Dialogs sowohl für den Euroraum als auch auf nationaler Ebene und deren Umsetzung unter deutscher Präsidentschaft im zweiten Halbjahr 2020 im Rahmen der umfassenden Economic Governance Review der EU-Kommission vorgeschlagen.
