Security improvement for NOMA based cooperative D2D networks with imperfect SIC over Nakagami-m channel

Abstract

In this paper, we consider a cooperative device-to-device (D2D) enabled cellular network based on the non-orthogonal multiple access system with imperfect successive interference cancellation over Nakagami-m fading channel. We assume that the knowledge of the channels characteristics are to be known. The proposed network consists of a base station and D2D transmitters not only act as relays which transmit signals to the multiple users but also transmit their own information to the paired receivers. On the other hand, the presence of eavesdropper can reduce the security of transmission in the wireless channel. We propose D2D transmitter selection and power allocation of the users scheme to maximize the secrecy sum rate while the constraints on the QoS requirements and secrecy outage probability of D2D transmitters and cellular users are satisfied. The problem is solved using the genetic algorithm (GA). Genetic algorithm is one of the nonlinear optimization methods for large scale applications. GA defines the D2D transmitters in the form of chromosomes and genes and the users’ quality of service needs are given as input to the GA procedure. Finally, simulation results show the accuracy of our proposed algorithm in terms of joint security and QoS improvement.
