The Impact of Activities of Industrial Corporations on the Dynamics of the Transition of Russia’s Economy to Sustainable Development

Abstract

This paper assesses the relationship between the dynamics of output of the largest Russian industrial corporations and the dynamics of the adjusted net savings (ANS) index, which is considered as a criterion reflecting Russia’s transition to sustainable development. It is revealed that ANS experiences the greatest impact from changes in the output of three industries: the chemical and petrochemical industry, the building materials industry, and non-ferrous metallurgy. With the help of model calculations, the boundaries and nature of the specified effects are determined for each of the listed industries.
