Abstract

The main objective of this study is to emphasize the importance of higher education publicity abroad. Data were obtained through a structured interview form with a qualitative research method, handled from the student’s perspective. The population of the study consisted of 325 students studying at the Centre of Ulutömer of Uludağ University. One hundred students who had agreed to participate in the study were given an interview form, and 98 of them who returned the forms. Students at a rate of 70.58% stated that they had good conditions before arriving Turkey, where the 41.17% thought they had a good culture, while students at the rate of 11.76% stated that they thought they were conservative. After coming to Turkey, a large proportion of 80.76% of students stated that they are satisfied. As for education in the country, a rate of 30.46% indicated that education is not systematic. Of them, 59.18% said that they wanted to study in another country. By analyzing the definition, existing processes and models, it will be possible to develop a sub-structure for student development from abroad to public universities. With a model, based on educational philosophies and program development approaches, our country might be one that is preferred by students. It will be possible to achieve the desired goals such being a preferred country in higher education especially by those countries that have sent students abroad. By this way it will be possible to obtain all targets such as cultivation etc.
