Abstract
The study aims to investigate the impact of innovative talent management practices (TMP) on digital employee experience (DEE) in India's information and technology (IT) industry. In addition, the mediation of shared leadership as a contributing mechanism for innovative TMP towards DEE has been explored. Data were collected through a survey of 350 employees in the IT industry, and data analysis was done through PLS–SEM. The results indicated that innovative TMP enhances the overall digital employee experience, wherein shared leadership raises team output and boosts employees’ uniqueness, improving the influence of talent management practices on the digital employees’ experience. Organizations' investment in measures that prioritize employee development to enhance their satisfaction and performance was found significant. This study contributes by bringing the contexts of inclusiveness and cohesiveness as dimensions of digital employee experience and its nexus with shared leadership and innovative talent management practices that researchers and practitioners can implement in their field. To the best of our knowledge, it is rare to investigate these relationships.
