Allocation of Mobile Communication Flows: From Micro-economic Demand Theory to a Gravity Model
In mobile communications there are two superimposing spatial activities: mobility and telecommunication. Starting from an individual utility function of a certain type, a micro-economic founded gravity model for spatial mobile communication flows is developed in this paper. Estimated parameters of this model are reported and compared with those which stem from non-mobile communication.
