Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure efficiency of Turkish banking regulation and supervision via banking act, decree law and additional papers after 1980 term. The hypothesis of this study states that there is an increase of Turkish banking regulation and supervision efficiency. According to the findings of the study; there is an increase of Turkish banking legal efficiency in the regulation and supervision after the events of 1980.Classification-JEL: G18, G21, G28, G38Keywords: Regulation and Supervision, Turkish Banking System, Banking Act
