Abstract

Middle income trap is defined as countries that attains the middle income but could not reach higher income for many years. To overcome the trap necessitates qualified and steady economic growth. In this study, information on middle income trap will firstly be given, then experiences of countries, which overcome the middle income trap, will be investigated and suggestions for Turkey will be presented.
