Endeks Kapsamında Olmanın Hisse Senedi Getirilerine Etkisi: BIST Temettü 25 Endeksi Üzerine Bir Uygulama

Abstract

The stock price indices are an important indicator for investors. Being in the scope of index means that the stock has the same qualifications determined for the index. These indices make it easier to choose among stocks for the stock investors. BIST Dividend 25 Index which has been calculated since July 1st, 2011, is comprised of the equities with both high dividend efficiency and liquidity. The purpose of this study is searching the effects of being in the scope of BIST Dividend 25 Index on stock price performance by using case study method. Consequently it can be observed if investors in Turkey pay adequate attention to dividends during investment decisions.
