Analysis of Competitiveness of Certain Sectors of Russian Economy in WTO Conditions

Abstract

The article analyses the macroeconomic consequences for Russia after a year of WTO membership. Authors conducted an international comparison of the initial positions of the economy and conditions for doing business in Russia. Based on the statistical data authors performed a forecast of the prospects of developing certain branches of the economy in the conditions of WTO membership. There is an economic assessment of the loss of profit from the activity of foreign economies after Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization in the article.
