Abstract

This study systematically investigates the structural role of journalism in constructing, managing, and transforming a nation's international image within the contemporary global digital information ecosystem. Framed within the context of soft power dynamics, public diplomacy, and digital media branding, this article evaluates the shifting paradigms of state representation across national and international media vectors. Employing a mixed-methods research design, we analyze a comprehensive data corpus of over 45,000 media artifacts spanning 2021-2026, incorporating quantitative text-mining, qualitative framing analysis, and mathematical models of digital audience engagement. The study evaluates the national branding strategies of Uzbekistan, the United States, South Korea, China, and the United Kingdom, alongside the structural outputs of global media networks such as CNN, BBC, and Al Jazeera. The empirical findings demonstrate that traditional, centralized state propaganda has lost its efficacy in the modern asymmetric information space. Instead, a country's international reputation is increasingly determined by decentralized network journalism, algorithmic platform visibility, and rapid crisis-communication verifications. Based on these insights, this paper conceptualizes optimal mathematical and structural models for mitigating cross-border reputation risks and stabilizes a strategic roadmap for elevating national journalism to an internationally competitive tier.
