Evitando el fracaso ante la crisis: los casos de dos organizaciones indigenas y campesinas de la economia social y solidaria en Oaxaca y Chiapas

Abstract

En Mexico se vive un contexto de crisis sistemica en los territorios indigenas y campesinos, que se agudiza con cada crisis economica, generando mayor exclusion y pobreza. El proposito de este articulo es analizar las condiciones y las estrategias de dos organizaciones indigenas y campesinas que forman parte de la economia social y solidaria (OICESS) que posibilitaron el desarrollo de sus iniciativas economico-productivas bajo condiciones de extrema adversidad. Como metodologia de estudio, los autores implementaron estrategias de investigacion accion en dos oicess de reciente creacion localizadas en los estados de Oaxaca y Chiapas, Mexico. Estas organizaciones han implementado estrategias que parten de su propia identidad cultural y sistemas de organizacion locales y activado el modelo multiactor para resolver sus dificultades tecnicas y de gestion. Estas condiciones favorecen la implementacion de modelos economicos que son mas solidarios, democraticos, equitativos y sustentables con el medio ambiente y que pueden dialogar con el modelo economico global para generar cambios sustanciales que transformen su territorio a largo plazo.
