Abstract

Within the field of strategic management, strategies have been marked by different and plural conceptualizations according to the historical stages of the research, topics of interest in practice and research, and schools of thought in the domain. This article outlines the most important conceptual dimensions in the conceptualizations of strategies in the strategic management field. It examines the background of the evolution of research with its major developments, schools of thought and underlying theoretical premises.
