Abstract

In the paper there are discussed changes in circumstances to apply the foresight approach to promote it as a method to predict and discuss the results in the areas important for a region, sector or country. The foresight approach shifts in the management decision-making process as a positive or negative factor. Foresight is a systematic approach to create information about the future to build long and medium-term visions, its directions and priorities. In the second part of the paper the procedure to generate scenarios of the information society development is presented.
