Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify relationships between the modern workplace concepts and organisational efficiency. Based on the initial results of a survey study, the practices of different workplace concepts (including Hot-Desking, Teleworking) are evaluated and patterns in their approaches to innovation are discussed. The primary findings are: (1) effective workplace develops from a flexible approach to space management (2) greater satisfaction of employees in a flexible office space does not result solely from changes in the functional quality, but mainly from relational effects inside the organisation.
