Abstract

The paper presents issues concerning business process modeling, which is a field that covers borderline areas related to management and information technology. The relevance of process modeling for information technology has become more explicit, due to the recent developments and proliferation of such technologies as Web Services and Semantic Web. The aim of the paper is to highlight the possibilities of applying semantics to business process modeling and to present the advantages of semantic approach in business process modeling.
