Цирульников Анатолий Маркович - доктор педагогических наук, профессор, академик Российской академии образования, главный научный сотрудник и руководитель поисковых исследований ФИРО Минобрнауки РФ. E‑mail: atsirulnik@mail.ruРассмотрены основные характеристики социокультурной модернизации образования (СКМО), ее отличия от модернизации технократического типа. Описаны инструментарий и основные типы социокультурных технологий развития образования. Освещен опыт и результаты осуществления СКМО в северном регионе. Охарактеризован ряд реализуемых в Республике Саха (Якутия) социокультурных проектов, в которых образование выступает инструментом решения социально-экономических проблем местных сообществ, развития территорий. Дана оценка рисков осуществления социокультурной модернизации системы образования, перспектив и возможностей продвижения СКМО в России.
