"Все Знать" И "Никогда Не Быть Уверенным": Хабитус Семьи И Учреждения И Выбор Относительно Высшего Образования (Пер. С Англ. Е. Фруминой)

Abstract

В последние 25 лет наблюдается переход от элитного к массовому высшему образованию. Такая трансформация, подпитываемая значительным притоком как зрелых, так и молодых студентов, сделала область высшего образования более сложной и нестабильной, чем она была даже десять лет назад. В статье на основе кейсов десяти абитуриентов проводится предварительный анализ осуществления выбора в современном высшем образовании. Этот процесс происходит в условиях углубляющихся различий между поступающими в вузы и растущего неравенства в доступе к образованию. Приводятся доказательства того, что выбор студентами учебного заведения определяется переплетением черт половой, расовой и социальной идентичности. Бытует мнение, что политика по расширению доступа к высшему образованию обеспечивает социальную справедливость. Однако изучение опыта этих десяти студентов позволяет сделать более сложные и менее оптимистичные выводы.
