Abstract

The article reports distinguishing characteristics of innovative development of the regional economy based on the case study of Kaluga region. It describes institutional environment as well as financial and expert support needed for carrying out business activities. In addition, the article assesses the positions determining innovation status of the region. It points out that high scientific potential and experience in efficient organization of modern enterprises have allowed to create in the region a space cluster model of development which makes it possible to produce goods which are in demand on domestic, regional and national markets. The article outlines the problems arising in the areas of innovation development in the Kaluga region and suggests possible solutions. В статье рассмотрены особенности инновационного развития региональной экономики на примере Калужской области. Обозначены институциональные условия, финансовая и экспертная поддержка для осуществления предпринимательской деятельности в регионе, дана оценка позиций, определяющих его инновационный статус. Определено, что обладание высоким научным потенциалом, опытом эффективной организации современных предприятий позволило создать в области эффективную модель пространственно-кластерного развития, позволяющую производить продукцию, пользующуюся спросом как на внутреннем, так и на внешнем рынках региона и страны в целом. Выявлены проблемы, возникающие на территориях инновационного развития в Калужской области и обозначены пути их решения.
