Благосостояние И Неравенство В Доходах Как Криминогенный Фактор

Abstract

Показано, что в теоретической модели с неоднородными агентами, где каждый может стать преступником и жертвой, риск стать жертвой имущественного преступления выше у богатого человека, живущего в бедной стране. Рост неравенства в доходах оказывает неоднозначное влияние на риск: для достаточно богатых агентов он сокращается, а для остальных - растет. Эмпирические результаты, полученные на международных индивидуальных данных, отчасти подтверждают теоретические выводы. Богатые люди чаще становятся жертвами преступлений против личности и собственности. В стране с высоким средним доходом, неравенством в доходах, значительной долей молодежи и безработных, а также у жителей мегаполисов, риск стать жертвой выше. Однако влияние среднего дохода нелинейное - в самых богатых странах этот риск снижается с ростом средних доходов.
