Abstract

The author analyses methodological aspects of the research into the transformation of the Russian economic system in the process of transition from state-planned to market-based economy in the context of the global postindustrial revolution. The article provides a review of the main approaches to the description and interpretation of the economic systems development. The author brings to light the need to combine universalist and civilization approach in the transitional economy of Russia.
