Abstract

The problem of ensuring financial safety of the bank is a relatively new direction of scientific research of Ukrainian community. In particular require more detailed consideration of the theoretical basis for financial safety of the bank in conditions of structural and institutional changes in the economy. The article analyzed the existing determinations of financial safety of bank, and on the basis of it author determination of this concept is formulated. We propose to understand the financial safety of bank as the security level of its stable functioning of the internal and external threats, the foundation of which is a certain state of protection of the financial interests of commercial banks. At present there is no single approach to determine threats to financial safety of the bank. Analysis and systematization of economic literature allowed determining the most typical internal and external threats to the financial safety of the bank as the basis for the development of methodology to ensure its assessment.
