Foreign trends in the evaluation of sustainability of banking system

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to study foreign practice of banking sector stability assessment, as well as identifying trends shaping systems of assessing the state of the financial system. Special place in the article is given to active development of international organizations and supervisory authorities of countries for estimating reliability of credit institutions, as well as models of stress-testing for banking sector. The estimation of financial stability of the banking system based on market indicators in the run-up to the 2008 crisis, indicators of sustainability and stability of the financial system of the International Monetary Fund.
