Methods for State correction of cats with urolithiasis

Abstract

This article is about correction methods for suffering from tripolyphosphate type of urolithiasis cats by applying antihypoxant of etilmetilhydroksipiridina succinate (Mexidol-vet) and antibiotic cefovecin (Convenia). The result of using Convenia and Mexidol-vet is relief of oxidative stress in the kidney tissue which caused more rapid and distinct decrease concentration of creatinine in blood in comparison with other treatment groups. Furthermore, there was a rapid liquidation of urological syndrome for cats treated with these medications, as well as related changes in urinalysis. By long-term monitoring was found that the recurrence rate in groups treated by antibiotic Сonveniya and Mexidol-vet, that is used for the correction of urolithiasis, was significantly lower in comparison with other groups.
