Abstract

История предпринимательства в России длительна и нелегка. В феодальную эпоху российские ремесленники (в отличие от западноевропейских) не объединялись в цеха и абсолютно самостоятельно вели производство и продажу продукции. По современным понятиям ремесленник представлял собой индивидуального предпринимателя, опиравшегося в своей деятельности на собственный труд, труд членов семьи и помощь немногочисленных работников, трудившихся либо за плату, либо за пропитание и «за науку» в качестве подмастерьев. Отсутствие цеховой организации существенно ослабляло ремесленничество как политическую силу. В России социальный слой предпринимателей никогда не приобретал ключевых позиций в обществе, как это было во многих городах Западной Европы.
