Abstract

В своей статье автор продолжает серию публикаций о выдаю-щихся экономистах прошлого. В данном эссе речь идет об Александре Александровиче Чупрове (1874-1926) знаменитом русском ученом-статистике, сыне другого великого экономиста Александра Ивановича Чупрова (1842-1908), краткий биографический очерк о нем был представлен в прошлом номере журнала. Автор рассказывает о жизненном пути Александра Александровича Чупрова, о его становлении как ученого; приводит слова его учеников как свидетельство преподавательского таланта великого экономиста. Также подчеркивается огромный вклад А.А. Чупрова в развитие статистики как науки в России. Отдельная глава посвящена работе А.А. Чупрова в Санкт-Петербургском политехническом институте, а также его работе за границей. В заключение статьи автор рассказывает о непростом «возвращении» на родину А.А. Чупрова, его «научной реабилитации».
