Abstract

Рассматриваются проблемы места и роли экономической географии в концепции подготовки студентов по направлению «Экономика» в контексте формирования пространственного, комплексного мышления, опыт преподавания курса «Экономическая география» на экономическом факультете Российского университета дружбы народов и его значение для формирования профессиональных компетенций экономиста. Анализируется место курса в образовательных стандартах, а также последствия недостаточного использования пространственного анализа в экономике. Подробно рассмотрены цели и задачи курса, получаемые профессиональные компетенции, анализируется работа кафедры по активизации деятельности студентов и повышению интереса к дисциплине.
