Abstract

Статья посвящена историко-правовому анализу заговора и дворцового переворота 11 марта 1801 г., направленных на свержение императора Павла I. В статье выявлены их существенные отличия от переворотов XVIII в. и схожесть ряда моментов (причины, цель, состав участников, методы организации и проведения) с заговором декабристов. На основе исследования непосредственных событий переворота в статье показано, что убийство Павла I не было подготовлено заранее и стало следствием нескольких факторов, среди которых на первое место следует поставить нежелание Павла I на любое ограничение своей власти.
