Abstract

Дана общая характеристика современной транспортной проблемы России. Обращено внимание на особую роль транспорта, оказывающего серьезное влияние как на эффективность и конкурентоспособность экономики России, так и на уровень и продолжительность жизни ее населения в социально-экономическом аспекте развития государства. Раскрыта экономическая природа транспорта, охарактеризованы специфические свойства транспортной продукции, что объективно обусловливает естественный монополизм отрасли. Научно обоснованы объективные истоки противоречий между общественной и отраслевой эффективностью транспорта.
