Abstract

В статье раскрывается роль Полтавского губернского земства, сельскохозяйственного общества, Естественно-исторического музея в становлении заповедного дела в Полтавской губернии. Акцентировано внимание на природоохранной деятельности С.О. Илличевского, его борьба за полтавские заповедные объекты в сложные 30-е годы ХХ столетия, характеризующиеся усиливающимся натиском хозяйственных организаций, когда официальные власти ориентируют заповедники на решение прикладных задач.
