Abstract

В данной статье изучены этапы становления правил дорожного движения в зарубежных странах. В средние века правила поведения на дороге определялись, прежде всего, социальным статусом передвигающегося. С появлением автомобиля обострилась необходимость обеспечения безопасности дорожного движения, что привело к созданию в Англии первых светофоров. На конференции ООН по дорожному движению, прошедшей в Вене в 1968 году, были приняты два основополагающих документа Конвенция о дорожном движении и Конвенция о дорожных знаках и сигналах. В статье также проанализированы современные правила дорожного движения, принятые в ряде развитых стран с различным экономическим укладом и конституционным устройством.
