Abstract

Статья освещает особенности, предшествующие становлению русской адвокатуры начало формирования присяжной адвокатуры, содержит информацию о первых упоминаниях о судебном представительстве в старейших памятниках древней Руси Русской правде X-XII веков и договорах с греками. Изложены так же особенности судебной реформы 1864 года, положившей начало присяжной адвокатуре. Выявлены сложности, стоящие на пути зарождения и развития института адвокатуры, определены принципы организации и деятельности адвокатуры в процессе ее становления.
