Abstract

Анализирующая несколько столетий политической и банковской истории Великобритании, Соединенных Штатов, Канады, Мексики и Бразилии, эта книга показывает, что хронические банковские кризисы и дефицит кредитов не были случайностью. Каломирис и Хабер соединяют политическую историю и экономику, объясняя, как образуются коалиции политиков, банкиров и других групп, действующих в интересах определенных кругов, почему они сохраняются и как они проводят политику, которая определяет, кто станет банкиром, кто получит доступ к кредитам и кто заплатит за спасение банков.
