Abstract

Освоение северных территорий всегда выступало в качестве одного из приоритетных направлений государственной политики России. Северные регионы, с одной стороны, являются наиболее богатыми территориями с позиции наличия полезных ископаемых, лесных и водных ресурсов, с другой стороны, сегодня это территории остановленных производств, деградирующих городов, стремительно теряющие население и инфраструктуру. Освоение новых пространств Севера происходит крайне медленно, значительная часть минерально-сырьевого потенциала не подготовлена к промышленной разработке и требует дополнительного геологического изучения и экономической оценки. В статье рассматриваются вопросы освоения северных территорий на примере отдельных районов Республики Коми.
