Abstract

Статья посвящена проблеме высокой смертности населения трудоспособного возраста, как одной из основных причин депопуляции и трансформации структуры населения России и Беларуси. Рассмотрены тенденции и особенности демографического развития Союзного государства в сравнении со странами ЕС. Определены основные причины сверхсмертности трудоспособного населения, спрогнозированы временные интервалы, необходимые для достижения среднеевропейского уровня смертности при сложившихся темпах её снижения. Представлен обзор государственной политики в данном направлении.
