Abstract

Попытки административного управления научной деятельностью зачастую опираются на неверные предположения, а потому приносят вред развитию науки. В статье подводятся итоги дискуссии по наукометрии и управлению научной деятельностью. Дан критико-аналитический обзор статей Интернет-конференции с минимальным привлечением дополнительной информации. Коллективными усилиями приходим к выводу, что оценка деятельности научных работников и организаций должна даваться в результате тщательной экспертизы и публичного обсуждения полученных научных результатов. Наукометрические показатели, рассчитанные по числу публикаций и цитирований в научных журналах, могут играть лишь вспомогательную (справочную) роль.
